There's vast deserts which house many desert plants that provide a good amount of food for whoever lives there. It’s easier to breathe over there since the atmosphere is not messed up because the industrial revolution did happen but it was not with fossil fuels but rather nuclear energy. Gas cars are more of a hobby type thing with regulations but most cars are electric. In this world there is a huge variety of climates and biomes as well as animal species which are helpful to the ecosystem. Body modification is the norm as well, cybernetic enhancements as well as other types of alternative modifications related to medicine. There's a big market for under the table operations and just like there are drug lords today there are cybernetic mod suppliers that make tons of profit on illegally sourced meds and such.
