The Harber process is used to produce ammonia from hydrogen and nitrogen. Different steps happens continuously during the catalytic reaction. In the first step the reagent has to diffuse through the catalyst particles’ pores to the catalyst surface. In the second step the reagents adsorb on the catalyst surface. After the adsorption step the reagent dissociate on the catalyst surface. Migration and reaction of the dissociated reaction takes place to produce the products on the surface. After the product formation on the surface, the products desorb. In the final step the products diffuse out of the catalyst particles’ pores.
