Asset Overview

The town class of light cruisers were built for the Royal Navy prior to the second world war, with 10 units completed. HMS Belfast is the only preserved unit of the 10, of which only 6 were able to survive the war. The first units were laid down in 1934 until 1936 and were scrapped in the late 1950s to early 1960s. Due to some changes in the design three subclasses exist, Southampton, Gloucester and Edinburgh. Belfast saw service in several battles, most notably the hunt for the german battleship Scharnhorst. Currently it is a museum in London and is open to the public. This model was made by me with the help of the original recognition manual from the US Navy and features only the most important pieces of detail. I made this model for myself to produce a small fleet, and printed this model with my Resin Printer Elegoo Mars in 1/4000 scale. This is by no means a good model, but it is the first one which I made with only the help of two images.
