This is a plastinated human heart, which was donated for research. The donor was a 25 year old male with no cardiac history. This anatomical cross section highlights the complex interior of the human heart. It is particularly worth noticing the thin walls of this healthy heart and the highly trebeculated ventricles.
We partner with [LifeSource](https://www.life-source.org/) to receive donated organs deemed not viable for transplant.
