IJN Takao/ Atago - Model for 1/4000 printing

The Takao class of the Imperial Japanese Navy was a class of heavy cruisers which saw service until the last days of the second world war. Four ships of this class were built, of which only one survived until the end of the war. The Takao and the Atago look nearly identical and were laid down in 1927. Takao was sunk in a shooting exercise after the war, whilst Atago was sunk by a submarine whilst transiting in 1944. This model was made by me with the help of the original recognition manual from the US Navy and features only the most important pieces of detail. I made this model for myself to produce a small fleet, and printed this model with my Resin Printer Elegoo Mars in 1/4000 and even 1/8000 scale with nearly no loss of detail. This is by no means a good model, but it is the first one which I made with only the help of two images. The textures are a bit messy, I will eventually clean that up...
