# Jump Emitter Drone Cargo freighters move their goods between universes at faster-than-light speeds by entering jumpspace. Each ship carries a number of jump emitters to create the necessary energy bubble around its own volume to enter jumpspace. However, the freighter needs additional emitters to extend this bubble to encompass the volume of the huge cargo loads being transported. Jump emitter drones are spaced around the cargo mass, each one contributing to the formation of a larger ‘bubble’ to completely surround the combination of the freight ship and its cargo, enabling them to enter ‘starjump’ and travel at faster than light speeds between galaxies.
