Asset Overview
This is a plastinated human heart donated for research. The donor was a 62 year old male with a history of diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia. This heart has been cut into three sections to highlight different anatomical structures: the atria on the right, the valves in the middle, and the ventricles and apex of the heart on the left. The pieces are lined up as if the heart was just pulled apart.
We partner with [LifeSource](https://www.life-source.org/) to receive donated organs deemed not viable for transplant.
