This is a plastinated human heart that was donated for research. The donor was a 50 year old female with a history of hypertension, high cholesterol, hypothyroidism, and a history of smoking. This model highlights the sub-valvular aparatus of the tricuspid valve (Right side of heart) and mitral valve (Left side of heart). The heart was treated with 3D scanning spray prior to imaging.
