Police lantern (Victorian)

Model made in Zbrush and textures added in Substance Painter. As with all of my models you are free to use it in any way including commercially. I have the original lamp that this model is based on - it was given to me by my father who in turn got it from his father who was a police officer in the north of England in the 1930s. I don't think my grandfather would have used the lamp himself - lamps of this type were in use in the mid 1800s. The door at the front opened and a candle was placed inside - the light from the candle was magnified by the lens. I think the lamp would have been clipped to the trouser belt. I have given my model a brass finish (original is black). I remember when I was a teenager testing the lamp by putting a candle inside to see how much light it gave out - not very much I remember! But I do remember touching the fluted cap at the top of the lamp - which got extremely hot - certainly hot enough to burn my finger! Hope you enjoy this model. Andy
