This model was created for the Medical Art MSc at University of Dundee. It shows a polycystic kidney and a healthy kidney with their intervening blood vessels. Polycysic kidney disease is an inherited condition which causes fluid filled cysts to develop on the kidneys. When the cysts grow very large they can impair kidney function.
