Asset Overview

The first Sci-fi turret of my asset pack built for a tower defence game. Utilises Unity's HDRP (3, 2K map sets) (High-Poly). To build upon my Sci-fi modelling skills I have started to research into what makes Sci-fi look good. The main issue with my previous work was that I overloaded the scene and added too much detail so the model didn't flow and the recipient didn't know where to look. What Fixed this? -Compositional changes I could apply to my assets such as the 70/30 rule (both for detail density and the textures I was using). Exceptions were made for the "1%" where highlights such as warning tape/red accents are implemented, **context matters**. -Not overusing cliche details such as bolts in every corners- (overloads the scene and makes it feel "rustic"/"Low-Tech") - Alex Senechal -"Breaking the box", changing the form of the model to not be just a square- Merging both tetrahedral and spherical shapes creates more complex topology and looks less like it was created in a 3D modelling program.
