Asset Overview

3D model of SECORE's tetrapod. This object is used to grow corals in captivity, once the coral takes hold and grows the tetrapod is then transplanted into the ocean where they can then start a new coral colony. Design for the tetrapod is owned by SECORE and their affiliates please contact them for more information (http://www.secore.org). The California Academy of Sciences is proud to partner with SECORE. Many thanks to Steinhart Aquarium Director Bart Shepherd (science advisor and SECORE member), Visualization Studio Technical Directors Kira Hammond and Mike Schmitt (photogrammetry and 3D modeling), and Electronics Engineering Manager Toshiro Chiang (3D printing) for all their help.
