This is a fairly automated meshing test on a number of scans done with a Faro Focus 3D (MS-120) laser scanner on a geological feature - the Warsaw Kettles.
Process:
FARO Scene.(FLS/.FWS) to .PTX to AutoDesk Recap (.RCP/.RCS) to Recap 360 Mesh (.RCM) to AutoDesk Memento beta to downsampled model (.OBJ) (intensity used as grayscale texture).
Recap's new automatic meshing feature is really impressive. Between that and AutoDesk Memento (beta) for the final steps, creating this from the scans was straightforward.
