1788 Heavy Cavalry Sword with Quarter Basket

Aside from the full basket version and half basket, sometimes swords in the Georgian era feature quarter baskets, that is to have full side bars or plates on the right side of the guard and some bars on the left side, providing just enough protection while making it easier to wear. The 1788 heavy cavalry sword features a 90cm+ blade which is super long. It is single-edged on the bottom half that transits into two edges on the top half. Like many other swords of that era, the blade has some very aggressive distal taper that starts from almost 8mm in the base to less than 2mm in the tip.
