Chillrend

An artifact of unknown origins, from the game series Elder Scrolls. Chillrend is a magic blade found in the Elder Scrolls games, such as Oblivion and Skyrim. It's a malachite glass sword with mysterious properties that makes it glow blue and cause frost damage. It was first owned by a retired adventurer known as Valus Odiil. After the Champion of Cyrodiil assisted him, the blade was passed on. Eventually, the sword was lost to the Champion, and the Warrior recovered the sword through unknown means. As time passed, the sword came into the possession of Thieves Guild leader Mercer Frey. However, after Skyrim's Dragonborn discovered Mercer's betrayal of the guild, the sword was taken.
