A model of an antique Italian Federschwert, currently in the Palazzo Venezia museum. A Federschwert is a blunt and flexible longsword trainer that allows sparring with handling characteristics of a real sword. (Federschwert is a German word, meaning feather sword, so this sword was probably not called this way.)
This model is around 1630g with a total length of 129cm and 9cm POB. The blade is 97cm long. Many historical feders like this have their blade tips wider than the base.
