Asset Overview
In 1967, the Kamov Design Bureau proposed a project for the Ka-35D transport rotorcraft,
intended to work in tandem with the An-12D aircraft. With a takeoff weight of 71.500 kg, it could carry
up to 11 tons of cargo for a distance of up to 700 km (maximum - 800 km) with a cruising speed of up to 500 km / h.
Its carrying capacity reached 20 tons, and the maximum design speed was 500-550 km / h.
On the Ka-35D, two turbojet engines were used with a rotor drive with overlapping disks of rotating blades.
The rear cargo hatch ramp was used for loading and unloading equipment.
In the nose of the mobile unit there was a remote-controlled cannon.
