Su-5-1 is a Soviet experimental light self-propelled artillery mount, created in 1934 at the Leningrad Experimental Machine Building Plant as part of the "small triplex" program - a project to create a series of artillery mounts on a single chassis for divisional artillery, which, according to its authors, was supposed to solve the entire range of tasks placed in front of the army. The chassis of the T-26 mod. 1933, the production of which was well established in Leningrad.
