Asset Overview
This monastery was built in 1154 for the sistercian monks in Cadouin, close to the Dordogne river in Perigord. The portal and buildings are in the strict the roman style, typical of the sistercian order. However, the beautiful cloister was built in the XVth century, in a flamboyant gothic style, in strong contrast with the rest of the monastery.
