Column Cap - Main Hall (22A)

Capture of a column cap insde Memorial Hall (1923) at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. Captured by Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5G smartphone using the "Object" mode in the "3D Scanner" app by Lubos Vonasek Programmierung 2021. This app uses the two cameras on the smartphone simultaneously to create a pair of eyes somewhat like ours (but closer together) as well as the orientation and movement sensors to record viewpoints throughout. During recording, the user monitors the generation of the virtual construct as well as one video feed and the calculated depth of field map. This model is provided to demonstrate the alternate use capability of this device when finer details are required. Note the "rot" look on the shadowed wood due to difficulty in model construction (likely due to lack of light.) WARNING: Beware of scale when scanning objects.
