Dolmen Monte Areo XV - 4.000 BC Neolithic - Between Gijón and Carreño, - Asturias - North of Spain
Acording with the old megalithic tradition, this dolmen was constructed by mixing layers of stones and soil. In his original state, the construction resulted in a small hill of 340 m², with the dolmen within.
The entrance corridor was supported by a lintel, with smaller height than the dolmen. It was supposed to be a kind of filter between the world of the death and the alive.
