Asset Overview
Friedenskirche (Peace Church) in the village of Döllersheim, which was resettled in 1938. The date of construction of the church, which was dedicated to St. Peter and St. Paul at that time, is not known. In the Romanesque period, the church consisted of a narrow nave with a rectangular choir and was extended by the west tower and two side aisles in the second half of the 14th century. At the beginning of the 15th century, a Gothic choir was built. The nave, badly damaged after a Hussite attack in 1427, was demolished and rebuilt in the second half of the 15th century. In 1942, the parish of Döllersheim was abandoned due to resettlement. The ruins were restored from 1976 onwards. The nave was given a new, not correspond to the original roof. Since 1981, the church has no longer been in the restricted military area.
