Asset Overview
Monk Bretton Priory, near Barnsley (South Yorkshire, UK), was founded in about 1154. It closed in 1538 during the Dissolution of the Monasteries, and was swiftly plundered for usable building materials.
The model shows the gatehouse, which was extensively rebuilt in the 15th century.
