Tōrō (dai-dōrō)

The light source is mainly there as an offering to Buddha, more than the will to create a powerful light. Leading to the yûgen, an important concept in traditional Japanese aesthetics, showing the balance between two worlds, one of light, one of darkness. It’s all about the hidden beauty of these elements fusion.
