Asset Overview

Baroque allegorical depiction of Winter is expressed by the standing figure of an old, muscular, bearded man whose hips are covered with fur. With the right foot, the man is stepped forward and the upper half of the body is slightly turned to the left, where he carries a forked stump of a tree with both hands. Today, the original can be found in The House of the Lords of Kunštát in Brno (Dům pánů z Kunštátu), and a copy can be found in the garden of the Austerlitz Castle (Slavkov u Brna). About 1730, probably the work of Ignác Lengelacher. Material: limestone; dimensions (approx.): 200 × 50 × 50 cm. _____ *Photo from today's location in The House of the Lords of Kunštát in Brno (Dům pánů z Kunštátu):* ![](https://austerli.cz/IMG/preview/Winter_Austerlitz-web.jpg)
