Sculpture of the Greek sun god Helios ( 2nd C B.C.) It is most propably from the pediment of his temple. One can see the holes opened around the head in order to house the metal rays crown. It now lives in the Old Town of Rhodes Archaeological Museum. Dodecanese Islands, Greece. The resebmlance of the posture to that of Alexander the Great hints that the sculptor is his personal sculptor, Lysippos
