Asset Overview

Located at Royal Arsenal Riverside, Woolwich, London. Date: 1859 From the attached description: “Gun 2/91. On the base ring this gun shows the maker’s name F.M. Eardley-Wilmot. On the first reinforce a cypher of Queen Victoria with the words DIEU ET MON DROIT. This translates as GOD AND MY RIGHTS and was a motto of the British Monarch referring to their divine right to govern. On the first reinforce ring the weight 13-2-1 (Tons - Hundredweights - Quarters) and on the second reinforce the 4940. On the chase a cypher with the words UNG JE SERVIARY which translates as ONLY ONE WILL I SERVE. On the right hand trunnion T21-DCCCXXXIV , on the left hand trunnion the date 1859. Loaned and installed by Berkeley Homes and from the collection of the Royal Artillery Museum.” 115 photos taken in November 2019 with a Sony a6000 and processed in Reality Capture.
