Cannon Gun 2/91

Located at Royal Arsenal Riverside, Woolwich, London. Date: 1857 From the attached description: "Gun 2/91. On the base ring this gun shows the maker's name F.M. Eardley-Wilmot. On the first reinforce a cypher of Queen Victoria with the words DIEU ET MON DROIT. This translates as GOD AND MY RIGHTS and was a motto of the British Monarch referring to their divine right to govern. On the right hand trunnion the date 1857. On the cahse a cypher has the words TRIA JUNCTA IN UNO which translates as THREE JOINED IN ONE referring to the three countries that formed the UK.
