Châteauneuf-lès-Moustiers, is a small village in the Verdon gorge that was home to up to 600 inhabitants in the 19th century. Today, only ruins remain. The difficult living conditions forced the villagers to leave.
Nestled at an altitude of 1000 meters in Haute-Provence, Châteauneuf-lès-Moustiers is a village in ruins. The last widow left the village in 1932.
