Asset Overview

Statue of Hercules, dated 18th century, unknown author. One of Hercules' labor was to slay the Hydra, an animal with several snake-like heads. This is probably theme of this sculpture, or maybe is he fighting a sea monster ? Very fine sculpture, with many details, and a great rendering of muscles, skin, face... Total height 2 meters This work was restored by French company "Socra" : overal cleaning of moss, lichen... and re-creation of the missing parts (hands and club, monster's heads, etc). Here is the view of the unrestored statue : ![](http://gerpho3d.com/3D/Annotations-skfb/ensemble.jpg) ![](http://gerpho3d.com/3D/Annotations-skfb/Logo-SOCRA150.jpg)
