Vincent Ferrer (1350-1419) was a Valencian Dominican friar and preacher. Ferrer was canonised by Calixtus III in 1455, and his day of commemoration in the Catholic Church is 5 April. He is the patron saint of the cities of Valencia and San Vicente del Raspeig in southern Spain, which is named after him.
