Asset Overview
Medieval sculpture of St. Bartholomew, carved in marble in the fifteenth century. Saint Bartholomew is represented holding a large knife in his right hand (Bartholomew was skinned alive with a knife), while with his left hand he holds a book and a chain with which he retains a diabolical figure. It is currently preserved in the Frei Manuel do Cenáculo National Museum (Évora, Portugal). No. ME1755.
