Asset Overview

The chasuble was sewn from dark pink silk damask of the bizarre type, brocaded with silk and gold thread. Piping sewn with a gilded silver thread runs along the edges and divisions. The chasuble is one of only a few historical liturgical vestments that remain in the abbey to this day. Most of the liturgical paraments were removed from the monastery after its dissolution in 1787. 18th century Museum of the Benedictine Abbey in Tyniec Inventory number: T/4/2012
