The chasuble was sewn from dark pink silk damask of the bizarre type, brocaded with silk and gold thread. Piping sewn with a gilded silver thread runs along the edges and divisions.
The chasuble is one of only a few historical liturgical vestments that remain in the abbey to this day. Most of the liturgical paraments were removed from the monastery after its dissolution in 1787.
