Rock Salt Carving: Saint Kinga Statue Altar
The Wieliczka Salt Mines have been visited by many visitors since the Middle Ages and are registered as a World Heritage Site.
The Chapel of St. Kinga is particularly famous for its grandeur.
The statue of St. Kinga and many other sculptures were carved into the salt by the miners, and the floor, walls, ceiling, and even the chandelier are made of salt.
The salt sculptures are inspired by St. Kinga's Chapel and were created by Wieliczka miners' sculptors and Polish craftsmen using Wieliczka salt with special permission.
