A granodiorite statue of the ancient Egyptian scribe Intef from the Middle Kingdom (12-13 Dynasties). This statue of a seated scribe with an unrolled papyrus scoll on his lap and his writing equipment draped over his left shoulder was excavated in Nubia at the site of Kerma. In the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (acc. no. 14.722) and on load to the San Antonio Art Museum.
