Tail bones (19 caudal vertebrae) from a sub-adult common dolphin (*Delphinus delphis*). Common dolphins are found in many parts of the world and are one of many dolphin species that are found in New Zealand. This specimen is from the Zoology teaching collections at the Albany Campus of Massey University in New Zealand.
