Asset Overview
A scale model in bronze showing the life-size *Iguanodon* statue erected in Crystal Palace Park, London, in 1853-1855. The models were probably made by sculptor Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins.
The species that the Iguandon statues were based on has since been renamed *Mantellodon* (meaning ‘Mantell’s tooth’) after the famous scientist Gideon Mantell who described their fossil remains.
