My entry for Sketchfab's Low Poly Challenge: Arcade Games! Dig Dug II is full of frantic compelling action just like its well-established predecessor, but it's also notably more bizarre. Who defeats enemies by breaking off island pieces? I wanted to try recreating these antics with a stylized scene. I drew inspiration from Dig Dug II arcade screenshots in order to recreate these island pieces and characters. Making island chunks fall is a bit excessive, but it was fun to recreate nonetheless!
