Loggerhead Sea Turtle

Loggerhead sea turtle from the D’Arcy Thompson Zoology Museum at the University of Dundee. Loggerhead Sea Turtle (Caretta caretta) - DUNUC 1506. Length: 21cm. Scanned with an Artec Spider surface scanner. The resulting file was exported as an obj. and imported into Zbrush. The texture was captured during the scanning process and converted to Polypaint in Zbrush. Within Zbrush the model geometry and texture map were tidied somewhat—particularly on the inside of the skull.
