Asset Overview
Saint George, who kills the dragon on horseback and, according to legend, not only freed the princess, but an entire city from the monster, is one of the most photographed monuments in Berlin. The 6m high group of figures by the sculptor August Kiss (1802 - 1865) fascinates with its detailed design. Until it was blown up, the memorial was in the courtyard of the city palace, then in the Friedrichshain park.
