Asset Overview

The Wendigo is an Algonquian Native American Legend described as a monster spirit who has possessed a human being and made them become monstrous. The first Wendigo was a lost hunter when during a brutally cold winter, his hunger drove him to cannibalism. After feasting on another human’s flesh, he made a deal with the Devil and transformed into a crazed beast, roaming the forest in search of more people to eat. The human person remains frozen within the Wendigo where its heart should be. The only way to kill a Wendigo is to kill the human within it as well. They live in cold weathered areas like Minnesota, Canada, and lake Windigo in Wisconsin. This modern depiction features the Wendigo as a beast that likes to play with its victims. It can mimic voices and sounds to draw children out. Due to drugs (prescription, alcohol, etc) adults are no longer viable sources for souls for the beats life support while it prays on adults and the occasional hunter for food and entertainment.
