# #3 Chemistry Dangerous - 3December2019
The explosive reaction between aluminum (Al) and hydrochloric acid (HCl) is carried out in the Chemistry Laboratory. In this exothermic reaction aluminum chloride (AlCl3) is produced and hydrogen gas is released (H2)
Basically, if you breathe it will happen this:
- The first contact with the gas, produces burning in the nostrils, very intense.
In the following weeks:
- You will have a fever, reaching peaks of 40 degrees Celsius.
- Vomits, with whatever you try to ingest.
- Sweating
- Abdominal spasms
And maybe the worst is that doctors take a long time to find the diagnosis, since after that time you will forget that you breathed that poison! ;)
