Asset Overview

A heterogenous coquina of turritelliform gastropods, bivalves and other invertebrates fossilised on a seven inch slab from the upper part of HP Formation . These invertebrates lived in Tethys ocean that covered Jordan 72-75 million uears ago during the late Campanoan early Maastrichtian and were part of a massive phosphorite dominated platform that extended throughout the entire north African region all the way to Coloumbia in South America. The original specimen is exhibited in ERMNH . For reproduction do not exceed width beyond 17.5 centimeters in size as it is optimized to this size.
