-Custom terrain shader with global normal, color map, height blend, AO, distance based UV, close detail normal, etc. It uses Texture Arrays, so if you plan to use the shader please check if your target system supports it or not(on PC\\console shouldn’t be a problem, it’s a DX10 feature). Please note that this shader have been specifically tweaked for this terrain, it’s not a general purpose shader, you could certainly use it elsewhere but I would advise you to buy something else if you plan to do this. The shader is about 25-28% slower than the builtin 4 splat shader.
-A 2x2km terrain(can be upscaled if needed of course) in 4×4 chunks, 1k each for performance considerations(with albedo, roughness, AO, and normal map), optimized for gameplay(the slopes are minimized so even physics based games should be fine with it, and the areas are well separated, plays really well with occlusion culling)
-4 distant terrain objects with albedo, roughness, normal, height, 2k each, triangle count is around 4k, with a custom shader
-4 terrain textures with albedo, roughness, normal, height, and AO maps(2k each) The terrain itself uses a texture array but the textures are included as well
-3 photoscanned rocks(with 4 LODs, albedo, normal, roughness and AO maps(2k each), with a custom snow shader)
-4 grass texture(2x1k – diffuse, normal)
-4 trees(2k textures – diffuse, normal)
-Falling snow particle system with custom a custom shader specifically for this effect(it's a flowshader, way cheaper than the usual snow effect)
-Ground dust sprite sheet(3 variations)
-A few random props to make the demo scene a bit more interesting
-Skybox
-Color grading LUTs(a colorful and a more moody one)

\nTropical Island Terrain \nThis environment package is ideal for your adventure missions on desktop or mobile platforms. It is highly configurable and the assets look perfect from close up making it ideal for first person games. The Unity terrain blends seamless into a low poly surrounding mesh, which in turn blends seamless into a terrain baked onto the skybox to create the feeling of an endless landscape of mountainous dunes. \n \nGeology: Tropical Archipelago Island \nThis island originated from shallow marine deposition of thinly bedded but well-cemented limestone. Falling sea level exposed the rock layers to periods of erosion. Once exposed to the elements windblown sand began to form dunes and add to the terrain along the coasts. Due to a lack of well-established drainage swamps and marshes often occur at or near sea level. In the surrounding shallow waters coral reefs form atolls, occasionally rising above the surface as narrow island chains.\n \n \nRocks: \nA set of 12 rocks and boulders. These are porous rocks and works well on mountainous parts of your scene. All rocks are low poly with multiple LODs and mobile ready with high res textures in case you need close up approaches. \n \nGeology - Rocks: Basalt, vesicular basalt, lava, basaltic lava \nThe pock-marked irregularities of this lava rock formed during its cooling while volatile gasses bubbled out of solution during eruption. These oozy basalt flows cooled and eroded rapidly in an ever changing landscape. They may be found in volcanic island chains or large continental fissure basalts.
\nProps: \nA set of game ready props modelled to create an adventure atmosphere. Geology: Rhyolite, Rhyolitic lava, Cinder cone, Cinter, Volcanic Tuff These fresh volcanics have erupted from a nearby young cinder cone. Their high silica content making them very viscous and sticky, they tend to be found in clusters, clumps, and 'bombs' when they are ejected at high temperature and explode on impact. Light shades of early mineral alteration now speckle their rugged surface.
\n• Set 4 - Sandstone rocks and boulders volume 1: This set consists of 12 different rocks and boulders. Geology: Bioturbated sandstone, fossil hash, porous sandstone Fossilized shallow marine critters once burrowed into the beach sands of these coastal sediments, creating voids and an irregular burrow fabric which has resulted in a porous sandstone with weathered rusty hematite nodules. The exposed crevices and tubules now still make for good cover and habitat for more modern creatures.
\n• Set 5 - Sandstone rocks and boulders volume 2: This set consists of 9 different rocks and boulders. Geology: Ultramafic rock, Basement rock, ejecta, regolith From deep within the mantle large plumes of metal-rich magma rose and cooled to form the early building blocks of the outer crust and continents. Metal oxidation can turn the rock various hues of reds, browns and yellows. Meteor bombardment and other early cataclysmic events pulverize the crust blanketing the surface with fine dust and regolith.
\n• Set 6 - Cluster rocks and boulders: This set consists of 10 different rocks and boulders. Geology: Conglomerate, Metasediment, Clastic sedimentary rock These conglomerates formed from river beds, banks, and gravel bars which were buried and lithified under the resulting pressure. Once exposed to surface processes the weaknesses between old cobbles, gravel, and sand weather more quickly, giving rise to their clumpy and clustered appearance.
\n• Set 7 - Snow cluster rocks and boulders: This set consists of 10 different rocks and boulders. Geology: Glaciel remnants, glacial ice, ice-9, mineral ice Collisions of glacial ice flows slowly collided under great pressure to produce these dense crystalline ice pockets. Their higher density makes them somewhat resistant to melting and weathering leaving them commonly exposed along old convergent glacial boundaries.
\n• Set 8 - Claystone rocks and boulders: This set consists of 9 different rocks and boulders. Geology: Sandstone, sandstone remnants Sandy ridge capping boulders and wind-etched arches are exposed along sand-swept dunes of desolate landscapes. Thin quartz veining gives a linear texture to the rocks and combines to create weather-resistant layers and intersections. This rock fabric lends to the formation of arches and over-steepened rock faces. Nearby slopes are strewn with the granular remnants of this weathering bedrock.
\n• Set 9 - Craggy rocks and boulders: This set consists of 12 different rocks and boulders. Geology: Metamorphic boulders, metasedimentary rock, gneiss The sharp fracture and cleavage of these rocks are a result of mineral recrystallization, which has hardened them significantly but also made them brittle. Once soft marine shale and sediment, their layers have been 'cooked' and metamorphosed into weather resistant crags. Only in harsh environments where freeze/thaw action can weaken these specimens from within do they readily break down.

Geology: Glacial remnants, glacial ice, ice-9, mineral ice Collisions of glacial ice flows slowly collided under great pressure to produce these dense crystalline ice pockets. \nWe use and advise to use such configuration in your projct to save a lot of memory and gpu sources . Instead of spearated 5-6 textures you can use 3 combined textures ,with the same result in unity standard shader as well as in our system. This config also make this asset 100% compatibile with HD SRP.\n
\n\nTextures are 2048x2048 up to 4096x4096 resolution but they look very good also at lower resolution. With packed and atlased structure they are very light for gpu and memory.\n

FEATURES -Custom terrain shader with global normal, color map, height blend, AO, distance based UV, close detail normal, etc. It uses Texture Arrays, so if you plan to use the shader please check if your target system supports it or not(on PC\\console shouldn’t be a problem, it’s a DX10 feature). Please note that this shader have been specifically tweaked for this terrain, it’s not a general purpose shader, you could certainly use it elsewhere but I would advise you to buy something else if you plan to do this. The shader is about 25-28% slower than the builtin 4 splat shader.
-A 2x2km terrain(can be upscaled if needed of course) in 4×4 chunks, 1k each for performance considerations(with albedo, roughness, AO, and normal map), optimized for gameplay(the slopes are minimized so even physics based games should be fine with it, and the areas are well separated, plays really well with occlusion culling)
-4 distant terrain objects with albedo, roughness, normal, height, 2k each, triangle count is around 4k, with a custom shader
-4 terrain textures with albedo, roughness, normal, height, and AO maps(2k each) The terrain itself uses a texture array but the textures are included as well
-3 photoscanned rocks(with 4 LODs, albedo, normal, roughness and AO maps(2k each), with a custom snow shader)
-4 grass texture(2x1k – diffuse, normal)
-4 trees(2k textures – diffuse, normal)
-Falling snow particle system with custom a custom shader specifically for this effect(it's a flowshader, way cheaper than the usual snow effect)

High-quality environment art package for AAA games V 2.1. Little to no photo source material as most textures are made using Substance Designer or hand-painted. Assets are well optimized as 4k atlases make it light for GPU and memory while the prefabs contain 3 to 4 LOD levels. Vegetation was made using Custom tree importer (CTI) which is compatible with Advanced Foliage Shader. The custom tree importer shaders provide realistic-looking wind and foliage with minimum performance impact so there is the possibility of use on lower-end platforms.

The pack is compatible with most versions of Unity ranging from Unity 5.0 to Unity 2019 and higher as it contains only art assets. Supported download version starting from v 2017.1.0.

The main pipeline used is the Standard Shader, Metalness workflow with merged maps and supports instantiating: (Metalic Shader: Albedo (RGB) // Metalic (R) Ambient Occlusion (G) Smoothness (A) // Normal (RGB)). This configuration makes the assets compatible with HDSRP so it should be easy to update to (LWRP/URP) and HDRP.

General Information

• Please make sure that your project is set to use the linear color space in \"Edit -> Project Settings -> Player\"! The custom tree importer shaders will look completely unnatural in \"gama rendering\" and will cause your foliage to look fluorescent green which is not correct!! \n• Please don't change the \"mesh normals\", all meshes have custom vertex normals applied, if changed, the normal maps won't work properly! \n• Grass assets could be pretty resource-intensive so a solution like \"Advanced Terrain Grass\" is desired overall! \n• \"CTI\" supports the HD render pipeline but only the versions that are out of preview onwards. Keep in mind CTI is still in development and some features will be limited!

Setup Instructions
\n\n
• Custom Tree Importer is compatible starting from Unity version 5.0 up to 2019 and above. (For Unity 2018, 2019 and later just import the \"2018 foliage shader fix\" provided in the \"CTI\" folder otherwise your foliage will not render on-screen!). The pack has been tested on all Unity versions and should work fine. \n• When using deferred rendering make sure you add the \"deferred shader\" and \"deferred reflections\" components in the graphics window by replacing the default ones. \n• All the trees have colliders setup, If you want to use them for the terrain engine just replace the mesh colliders with capsule colliders!
