Asset Overview
Here's the wreck of Bounty Pontoon, in the bay of Nusa Lembongan, Bali, Indonesia.
It sank just after the first lockdown in 2020, when they didn't bother boarding the pontoon to pump out the hulls. The hull to the south had a leak and filled up over a few weeks. Eventually it sank down onto the shallow reef 8m below... The waves and current quickly fully sank it, leaving just the plastic covered roof sticking above the surface. Most of the equipment, generators, etc was still onboard, so a lot of stuff has been washed away by the currents.
This is what the wreck looked like after a few months of being underwater, being trashed by the waves and current a bit. Most of the structure was intact, but on the day of the scanning dive, the visability was shocking, so i couldn't get much detail out of the framework.
See my other model of the scan done in September 2021, this shows the wreck after most of the superstructure has been removed by the salvagers. We're not sure how much will be left when they finish.
