The Streaked Tuftedcheek is a striking member of the Furnariidae family. Furnariids are often various shades of brown, but the variety of this family is broad with its more than 300 species. The Streaked Tuftedcheek is an inhabitant of Andean forests, where 10 subspecies can be found across its range.
