El objeto retpresentado es una caracola de mar que hace referencia a Emilio Rolán Mosquera, médico biólogo gallego nacido en A Guarda (nuestra localidad) y especializado en malacología. Rolán, licenciado en la Universidad de Santiago, es el investigador que más especies marinas ha catalogado en los últimos diez años, con 529, en todo el mundo. Actualmente está a punto de llegar a las mil nuevas especies descritas.
The object represented is a sea shell that refers to Emilio Rolán Mosquera, a Galician biologist born in A Guarda (our town) and specialized in malacology. Rolán, a graduate of the University of Santiago, is the researcher who has cataloged more marine species in the last ten years, with 529, all over the world. At the moment it is about to reach the thousand new described species.
