Asset Overview
This is a fixed human heart that was donated for research. The donor was a 68 year old male with a history of obesity, atrial fibrillation, end-stage kidney disease leading to a renal transplant, coronary artery disease leading to quadruple bypass surgeries, hypertension, and type II diabetes. The coronary bypass graft is unique on this heart in that one vessel wraps around the heart with several secondary grafts branching off to finish the bypasses.
We partner with [LifeSource](https://www.life-source.org/) to receive donated organs deemed not viable for transplant.
