Asset Overview

This is a plastinated human heart that was donated for research. The donor was a 69 year old with a history of cardiovascular disease and had implanted pacing leads, which are preserved and shown in this model. This plastinate is also cut in the right ventricle to show the underside of the valve. We partner with [LifeSource](https://www.life-source.org/) to receive donated organs deemed not viable for transplant.
