Asset Overview

This is a typical two-handed sword used in Borea, a continent/kingdom in my fantasy world Eia. The blade is 100cm (40”) long, the grip is 27cm (10.6”) long. The blade is forged from pattern-welded steel (not visible here because FBX doesn’t save procedurally generated textures). At only 1.3kg, (2.6 lbs), the sword is rather light and agile. An unusual feature, which is typical for Borean swords, is the disc guard, which is similar to a tsuba on Japanese katanas. It shows a left-rotating triskel, which in Borean culture is a ward against harm and is supposed to protect the wielder. The blade's shape was inspired by Danish two-handed swords from the 15th century. Check out the Artstation post for more info: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/3oRgPm
